The Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Regulations were a standardised set of technical manuals use by the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from their formation in 1942 until the 1990s. They covered all the Army's technical equipment and the archive in this site contains a large number of the Telecommunications group EMERs which were used by REME in the maintenance of communications equipment. Less well known was a set of reference
EMERs which covered a wide range of general topics, which formed part of the
library of EMERs carried by workshops and LADs (Light Aid Detachments). All
the reference EMERs listed below may be downloaded by right-clicking the links
and selecting "Save As". The files are read only but, unlike the equipment
manuals in the archive, they may be opened without a password.
